Armor Classic Hot Dogs (12oz) pack


Who doesn’t like hot dogs? I know hot dogs have been around forever and tons are sold every year. I used to eat them with cheese in the middle and I used to pull the centers out, stuffing them with onions, sometimes peppers. Flipping through channels on TV, about three months ago and came across How It’s Made and I bet you can guess what they were making, yup Hot Dogs. I was grossed out and That was the day the Hot Dog died for me. Everytime I would see Hot Dogs in a store or at a friends house, it would make me sick to my stomach.

 That show and my research has completely added Hot Dogs to (my ever growing list of hazard foods) . I promise it will completely gross you out, if you watch how they are made. These Hot Dogs that I have researched here today, are sold at Dollar General Stores Nationwide. You can also buy them online. Cost Is around $1.95 a pack of (8). If your not sold on the idea of my research, then By looking at the salt content in these should sway you from buying them or eating to many in one meal. 

I have a big friend that will sit down at dinner and eat 6 at one time. Wow. I have tried to help them understand that with each hot dog having 550mg of sodium. That’s 3300mg of salt in just 6 dogs. That’s insane amount of salt isn’t it? The fat content in the dogs are 13g each dog and that’s terrible if your trying to lose weight. The calorie intake of just one hot dog is 150 and the saturated fat is 4.5g. People may think, well 4.5g that’s not much but it is when that’s 23% of your daily allowance of saturated fat in one hot dog. 

Hot dogs have been and will always be America’s pastime, like football and baseball. I just want you (my friends) to know what’s in them and a little about the sodium content and saturate fat content and other ingrdeients tht’s in them. I think after you read what I have found in the hot dogs, you may stop like I did and go to something I have started eating that will provide you with the same greatness, that the bad ones did for you. So I guess your ready for me to begin and stop rambling. Ok you asked for it here we go.

Doesn’t Mechanically Separated chicken and pork sound tasty, I know it sounds like it there to be something going on in the process, that can’t be good for you. DO you think Hot Dogs are great with mayo on them? I used to love to put cheese and mayo on mine, While I was researching these, someone over at my house was talking about putting sardines on theirs. 

Wow that has to be the craziest thing I have ever heard, it would be like putting mayo on peanut butter. Just doesn’t seem like they would go good together. Maybe you like it, let me know where you stand on the issue of mayo and Hot Dogs? Or even mayo on peanut butter. Next we are going to talk

The Chemicals in the Hot Dogs, first on the hit list is:

SODIUM LACTATE

Sodium Lactate is safe to use in Cosmetics, but holds certain restictions when using this chemical. It comes from femintation of lactic acid and it improves the foods bacterial stability. only side effects I’ve found is overhydration and congested. So as far the side effects it doesn’t seem to be real bad. 

Second Chemical on the hit list is:

SODIUM PHOSPHATE

Sodium phosphate is used in foods of a thickening agent and also used in medicine for constipation. Is a saline laxitive.

 There’s a huge list of side effects for this chemicals, they are: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, bone pain, headache, dizziness, tired feeling, muscle pain, weakness, increased thirst, numbness in you hands, feet. WOW, so many side effects you could get from consuming this chemical. Consumption of this product can cause you to have adverse side effects from your medication. Consult your doctor before taking this Chemical. 

Third chemical on the hit list is:

SODIUM ERYTHORBATE

Sodium Erythorbate is used as a curing chemical for foods, It’s also used as a color enhancer to keep the color on the hot dogs. Side effects for this chemical is: headache, dizziness, fatigue, lethargy and flushing of the skin. There are a total of over 300 drugs that interact with this chemical. So if your eating anything with this in it, ask your doctor if it’s safe to use with your meds. Overall Not as bad as most I have researched. Still needs to be monitored closely with the high list of drug interactions. 

Forth chemical on the hit list is:

MECHANICALLY SEPARTATED CHICKEN AND PORK

Mechanically separated chicken and pork Is reclamed meat that’s made into a paste like meat product that’s pureed at high pressure through a sleeve to separate the bone from the meat to make the meat edible. Now what do you think? The picture of that is just aweful sounding. Say this and close your eyes and picture the process. Do you see now, It’s the The parts of the chicken that you normaly don’t eat and it’s pressure forced off the bone to place into Hot Dogs and Bologna and other meats Like those. It’s nicknamed (pink slime).

 I bet your going to toss those now, huh. I can see you know rushing over to the fridge and tossing them in the trash and never looking back. Please you just have to watch the video. I think you can watch in on You Tube also. I can’t wait for your reaction.

I promise you will want to read what I have found out about these tasty treats everyone loves. I have, for the past 6 hours researched everything there is to know about these donuts. This is how these came about in my research. I was walking through the store today and I noticed them sitting in the path to check out. I thought to myself, there’s no way these little donuts have anything bad in them, they are just donuts.

Oh I was so wrong. There are over 50 plus additives in them and they range from ok to (you have to be kidding me) reaction. I will never just think these are just donuts again. from my research, the FDA states the additives are safe to a certain degree. That in itself should tell you to be warned.

I have five on my hit list and I know there are more that’s almost as bad as the ones I will be listing and you can look them up to on your computer or smartphone. I know so many people that have no idea what they are eating on a daily basis.

I hope this research helps you and your family decide what is better for you in the future and help you to understand that most of what I am researching is tasteless and in clear form so the chemicals in your foods, you wouldn’t even know they were there if it wasn’t for information like this and other websites laying it out for you.

KARAYA GUM

This is this additives primary use: Karaya gum is used as a bulk-forming laxative. It is used also to increase sex drive.

Karaya gum is also used in: Medications, Cosmetics, and Denture adhesives, also a binder and stabilizer in foods. My research suggests it’s safe to use with plenty of water or other liquids to drink, because it can block your intestines. If your already constipated do not eat anything with this additive in it.

Also states the additive can decrease the effectiveness of your medications, so to prevent this eat anything with karaya in it one hour after you take your medication.

I think you should know if a product is in other known products that aren’t food related and the side effects aren’t that bad as long as you drink plenty of water and you don’t eat it within minutes of taking your medications.

The first part of the post is alarming about the primary uses. Wow, you just never know what you are eating.

 

PROPYLENE GLYCO MONOESTERS

This is the weird one and you have to wonder why is it even near our foods. It’s an active ingredients in Antifreeze (byproduct of fossil fuel)

Also found in: lotions, medications, common ingredients in electronic cigarettes, also found in polyurethane products, paints, plastics, glass cleaner, deodorant, liquid nails, cover girl products, toothpaste, can also be found in pet foods. also stated at certain levels can be harmful to your fur babies. (pets).

Only side effects I was able to find were: (possible) seizures, neurological symptoms, nausea, vertigo, and strange issues with your mental stability. can cause kidney issues, mild conjunctivitis, use with caution if your pregnant.

I just can’t believe so many other products this additive is in other than food products. These donuts are packing a punch, when it comes to your health.

Just imagine, if you were to stop eating so many food products with chemicals in them and started eating what you or tour neighbor grew from the garden and 4 months down the road all your ailments started to fade away, wouldn’t that be great.

 

SORBIC ACID

This additive is found in: cosmetics, personal care products. primarily in the Formation of eye makeup, skin care, and hair products.

This is how it’s manufactured, through several different chemicals from toxic, irritant, colorless, gas known as ketene.

possible side effects are: light skin itching, burning sensation, sore throat, blurred vision, redness of the eyes, coughing.

I was gonna leave this one out, but you should be aware that the chemical process from how it was made was from a gas.

SODIUM BICARBONATE

I know there are some wild and crazy reasons for the chemicals in our foods, this one is out there. This is the main reason for this chemical to be here: The primary use for the additive is the treatment of acid reflux disease.

Before ingesting this chemical consult your doctor is you have the following: kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, or if your on low salt diet. Also can cause fluid retention.

possible side effects are: severe stomach pain, rapid weight gain, shortness of breath, dry mouth, increased thirst, urinating more than usual.

my research states this additive can interact with other medications.

More side effects are: headache, loss of appetite, mood or mental changes, muscle pain, nervousness, slow breathing, swelling of the hands, feet.

I wont keep you much longer with the additives, I just had to put these in here, because of the tiny little donuts that advertise to be a real treat since 1914, when the company was established.

I bet you back then, they were some great donuts. Todays world that we live in only see’s the profits they can make, over the peoples health in buying their products and making them for the cheapest they can by adding tasteless chemicals to our foods. It’s really sad to see so much of our food products are causing so much harm to our bodies.

You may feel great right now and 10 years down the road, you start getting ill or feeling worse and the doctors will just mark it off as being something in your genetics makeup or something that has to do with whatever they come up with. The whole time it could’ve been the foods you have been eating for the last 10 years that made you sick.

SODIUM ALLUMINUM PHOSPHATE

This is the last one before I post this. I really am surprised at the amount of just awful chemicals that goes into these donuts.

This additive is used as a stabilizer in foods. Used also for Ceramics, dental cements, cosmetics, paints, paper, and pharmaceuticals.

Animal tests have showed, when they are born they are slower in motor and learning responses when this was in their mothers food. This can also cause the onset at high doses of brain damage and chronic aluminum toxicity, also can cause the onset of AL disease.

Long term side effects are Anemia, bone problems, constipation, headache.

Lets talk about food

Tonight I was  going to write about the ingredients that are in peanut butter, then I thought why do that when I could just talk for a minute about food in general. What do you like to eat, do you like certain meals every week?

I like to eat something on the BBQ every Friday and Saturday. I usually bake chicken, then throw it on the grill to get the skin just right. I like to think of it as the best of both world. You have the healthy way, by baking it and then the not so healthy way grilling it.

You may be thinking this person is crazy I have never heard of that. My mom when she was alive, used to cook chicken and even hamburgers that way for years. Food in general is the life support we need to get through to the next day.

Food gives use energy and does justice to the cravings we get. I know the other night I was craving ice cream so bad, I don’t know why: I haven’t had ice cream in years. You know when your sitting there and just out of the blue you have to have that kind of food or else. lol.

Sometimes when I am watching a good tv show and a commercial comes on about pizza or some stacked cheeseburger, the cravings start and sometimes I give in and sometimes turn the tv off and force myself to go to bed. I guess Your wondering maybe where do I plan on taking this website or will I ever make great content for reading. like in book form: I will and I enjoy writing about anything really. My passion is toxic chemicals in our foods.

Before I started this website, I researched a lot of other sites and YOU-TUBE videos about what my website contrasts to. I knew I was in for a challenge in getting my word out when there are so many other websites out there that have great content. This is a personal journey for me and I hope you all feel the same way. I welcome comments and suggestions in what you want me to write about and what kinds of foods you eat to stay healthy.

I learned and am still learning in college, that the conversation that people share online is the beginning of something big and could grow to something massive. I believe in todays society we tend to have so many other things to do that we don’t have time for conversation.

I will let you know something, I researched a lot about peanut butter and in the processing part in peanut butter the simple ingredients are corn syrup, salt, sugar and of course peanuts. That’s it: peanut butter has a lot of fat in it  and a lot of good fat also. the bad fat comes from the corn syrup.

You can buy all natural. keep checking it though because the oil will settle at the top and it looks gross, that’s because they make it without the corn syrup  and the oil separates. So if your not allergic to peanuts and other tree nuts, then that’s a great snack, if you are working out and just need something to get you through the night, until the next day.

Lets talk about coffee for a minute. I know most of you out there has to have your coffee to get you through the day. I know as soon as I wake up, coffee is a must. One time I went to work without coffee in my system and I almost didn’t make it through the day. Something about coffee brewing in the morning that lets you know it’s going to be a great day.

What kinds of coffee do you drink in the mornings? Do you drink all through the day or just in the morning before work? I think for me, it just depends on the day of the week. Mondays for sure all day, something about Monday everyone dreads. lol.

After I post this post  I will post a great recipe I made up for French toast, I just made some this morning and they were great. You don’t even need syrup with them. They almost taste like it has syrup on them. I have so many different ways to prepare food that tastes great without the added chemicals in the foods.

I will share my recipes on here to help you love life again and maybe share them with other people wanting to live a better life without chemicals in their foods.

I am going to close this so I can post the recipe for French toast, I know you will love it. also I have some crazy additives I have researched from FRENCH ONION DIP. SEASONINGS(LEMON PEPPER)

LEMON PEPPER SEASONING

When we think about seasoning and the ingredients in the small container of great tasting spices. We sure don’t think about, just maybe its not all it is cut out to be. If your like me I never thought about it, even up until about a month ago when I was looking up and researching another food product to post on here. I just happened to glance at an article about the hidden dangers in seasoning and the effects could make you very sick or even kill you.

I had to take a step back I couldn’t believe my eyes, when you think of Lemon Pepper seasoning. I am sure you think, well just lemon and pepper (right). The bottle I am holding in my hand has some known ingredients and some I had no clue were in seasoning bottles. The known ones are: salt, black pepper, citric acid, onion, sugar, celery seed, garlic, lemon oil, yellow#5 lake. I left out two for a moment to let you overcheck the ones I listed.

For me I would have never  thought sugar would be in lemon pepper seasoning, I mean if I was diabetic that would be terrible because I used a lot of the seasoning in the past. Don’t they sell garlic seasoning, if I wanted something with garlic in it I would jus buy it. When I buy lemon pepper seasoning and I still get garlic, well to be honest I couldn’t taste it. Still I don’t like the taste of garlic and I try to avoid anything with the seasoning in it.

I know your wanting the two I left out, well I will give you one now. SILICON DIOXIDE. That even sounds weird to me. I will give the layout of side effect and other main products its found in. Hold your breath the number one use for the ingredient is the making of GLASS, AND OTHER CERAMIC FIXTURES. It states also if your pregnant or breastfeeding don’t use or eat anything with this additive in it. Big producer of kidney stones in men and women. kidney damage with large doses. The chemical is used also to promote bone health and help with hair loss.

I haven’t even got to the worst ingredient yet. Lets do a check. Lemon pepper seasoning has way more than I ever imagined in it. People just don’t know what they are eating in todays society. I mean when is the world going to ask question about all these side effects and weird ingredients in simple things like lemon pepper seasoning and other seasonings I haven’t gotten to yet.

You may be shaking your head right now or going to your pantry and throwing out the seasonings. I know I have. It is beginning to look like the food industries just put whatever they want in our foods and if it taste great we don’t ask questions. I am going to add this last ingredient, then you can decide if your going to change the seasonings you consume everyday. I just hope this site sheds light on this terrible ingredients in our foods.

Last one is TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE: the main uses  to this additive is: baby powder, toothpaste, fertilizer, pottery, milk glass, polishing compounds, stabilizes plastic, antacids. WOW, that’s crazy, huh.

The side effect are: convulsions, increased thirst, nausea, vomiting,  sometimes vomiting of blood.  I know I am just talking about a simple little bottle of lemon pepper seasoning. This is exactly what I am talking about you just never know what you will eat next with nasty side effect additives in them. I hope this post help you think a little more, I know after all my research I have done. Additives in our foods are slowly killing us off and unless we get the word out and band together and spread the word about the dangers lurking in our pantries. That seam harmless until you investigate further just to find out you are consuming glass making and polishing compound ingredients in your foods. Take care toxic food watchers out there everywhere. Would you ever think hamburger helper or cheerios would have chemicals in them or potato chips or crackers having kidney disease causing chemicals in them. I believe the whole concept of what may be good for us and what is bad for us, is way off. 

I think for the dangerous chemicals in our foods we consume daily, we should question why does the FDA allow such harmful additives in the foods we feed our families. Could it be they haven’t looked at them, maybe they just agree because it helps the government control the population with death and illnesses. I know your gonna say here we go conspiracy theory. Yes that’s right its all about the money, This is coming from a critic towards the people deciding what goes in our foods. I have to say through tons of research I have found almost everything we eat or drink is laced with some kind of chemical. Even the dyes in our food and drinks are dangerous. The next time you go out to the store or look in your pantry check our the additives in your cold drink or fruit juices. RED DYE 40 is only one of many food additives found in your foods this one is really nasty. RED DYE 40 causes learning issues and can make you angry or restless, it also causes headaches, vomiting and a lot more side effects. We will get into later on in this post.

I have wondered over the years, why the chemicals were put into ours foods over the years. I think its to make the cost of the food cheaper to produce, for more profits. That gets back to the idea.( ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY)

It doesn’t matter what we think or what we do, the way our foods are processed will only get worse over time. I believe the food industries will push it to the max and one day when its to late, a massive amount of the public will get sick from the amounts of chemicals going into our foods. When for years and years the FDA has been approving chemicals found in paint thinners, makeup products, latex and petroleum products in our foods we consume daily. We are at a crossroads with the knowledge we have about what is happening and the facts layed out on the table.

Can I ask you a question, what do you think is going on with so many people getting sick and so many people dying so early in their lives of cancer and heart attacks? Is the new living age gonna be the ripe age of 50.

Lets say for instance, your car has run on a mixture of gas and oil for couple years now, and it smokes and puffs its way down the road. Then one day out of the blue, it dies and the car is only 5 years old. You get it towed and the mechanic says: the outside looks great, like a new car. Oh man but the inside looks like a 80 yr old car. How can this be. gas and oil in a car doesn’t go good together (right), normally you wouldn’t mix them. That would be a(no brainer) that your car will not last to long running on gas and oil mixture. The same goes for the millions of chemicals the FDA  allows in your foods that you consume daily.

How long do you think you have on this earth, running your body on trisodium phosphate and red dye 40. The more you consume, the less time you have left on earth. That’s the scary part of this post, to get you to think about the example, about the car compared to your body. I know I have eaten my fair share of these foods, until I started gathering research and decided (no more).

WE ARE JUST TICKING AWAY

Your thinking oh no he has lost it, right. I promise I haven’t yet, I will include some additives to look up, for the worst of the worst in the chemicals in your foods. just google them and look at the medical book online about them and you will see I am honest in my assessment.

  1. Trisodium phosphate
  2. red dye 40
  3. phosphoric acid
  4. monosodium glutamate
  5. sodium chloride

IN CLOSING REMARKS

I think the next time you pick up your favorite cereal to fix for breakfast and drink your favorite drink. You may think, is it going to kill me in the long run or am I just not reading the additives (chemicals) correctly.  I will always think, The food industries don’t care about our health and they don’t care that the additives,  are in other words called (chemicals in an industrial setting). Food additives that are purposely used for paint thinner products and petroleum products, should not be anywhere near our foods.
